Autumn is turning into winter and I’m enjoying the dark evenings as it offers me the chance to cosy up with lights and candles, and sew and knit. I’m trying to reduce my stash of crafting materials and so these winters nights mean no excuse. I used some beads to make a ric rac necklace and some material bought when we had a lovely early autumn day in Hythe to make a top for work. Whilst not perfect, it will be fine under my blue suit and it will remind me of my dogs and a happy day out. We’ve also made the most of the weekends to go on long walks with our youngest dog, and then find a pub for a warming lunch. There’s nothing like a real fire, the noise of it crackling, the colour and warmth after a cold walk.
