Happy New Year!

So here is 2017! So far, despite quite a few grey days, we’ve made the most of the winter sunshine. Days out in the crisp white frost, sitting in the sunny part of the sofa when the low lying winter sun comes around, and enjoying some beautiful sunsets and sunrises on the way to and from work, or on dog walks. There is a definitely a theme of sun and sea happening in the first few days of this year. We had a cold, breezy and fun New Year’s Day on the beach at Dymchurch with some friends and our dogs. I’ve made a light cotton summer top with sea horses on it. The beach is on my mind. Maybe time to book a holiday? I’ve also finished off some crafting projects from last year, the second runner for the other chest of drawers in our bedroom and a pair of light reflective beanies for two of my friends. So now need to focus on what I’m going to make this year. I want to be more productive than last year. The only thing I’m worried about is our little Rusty, our elderly rescue, she is really showing her age now and quite thin. She has become very picky about food.  She’s always been a bit of a fussy eater but now is very fussy. However she will always eat a treat! We had her checked out by the vet who said she was in relatively good shape for her age, with no obvious reason (such as dental issues) as to why she was being picky with food, but that older dogs can lose their appetite just as humans do. She she is being spoilt with treats and a double thickness bed! 💕💕
