Storming into Spring

I’m so ready for Spring but whilst we get a few glimpses of it, it’s mainly been unrelentingly wet, windy and grey. Lots of blustery dog walks by the beach followed by snuggling in with the pups on the sofa. I’ve been feeling a bit lazy with these miserable days but I did manage to finish the couch to 5k programme and so treated myself to a new pair of trainers. I’m very slow so need to concentrate on my speed as well as stamina and also want to progress to 10k. I’ve used this in between seasons time to attend a quilting class and learn how to quilt properly including making binding and how to mitre a corner, self drafted a bag based on one I saw in a shop at an extortionate price, upcycled a cupboard found in a junk shop to give us some more storage in our bathroom, learnt to knit on dpns and am slowly progressing a chunky cardigan which involves fairisle, knitting in the round and steaks, all new to me so I’m taking my time!
